user biography

Once upon a time, a scale tilted back and forth. It’s golden arms shifted day and night as it weighed the heaviest decisions one could face. Which arm will the scale hold high? And which arm will the scale drag to the ground?

You will find two witches here.

One clings to life, while the other is clings to death. They have rarely met each other, however, they both are two parts of the same coin.

They are “wild” witches. Witches who are born from ancient sacrificial sites, forgotten magic, and lost deities. For both girls, to turn into a witch like this was inescapable, however, the two reacted very differently in the world they found themselves in.

Wild witches are often pushed out and seen by their general society as something close to “uncivilized" These witches have a deeper, almost raw connection with nature and natural magic, which leads many people to be afraid of them. They have a tendency to view life and death as simply part of a cycle. Neither has any greater meaning or gravity than the other.

Both girls started from this point, the balance rested at zero and that had shaped their view of the world’s structure. However, during their lifetime, the scale began to tip. Each started to question what they believed in and placed greater emphasis on either Life or Death. They lead singular lives, and yet, their actions ripple across countries and people. What does it mean to have a positive affect or a negative one? Is it wrong to live selfishly or selflessly?

The Earth turns and the two witches wake up to see another morning, so close to each other, and yet, so far away.
